Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC) Land in Uttar Pradesh
23 March 2026 · Team
The Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC) is one of India’s largest infrastructure projects, built around the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor (WDFC). Uttar Pradesh isn’t the biggest player in DMIC by land area, but its slice — about 8.5% of the total catchment, spread across 12 districts and roughly 36,068 sq. km — sits close to Delhi-NCR, which makes it disproportionately useful for certain kinds of businesses.
Why this stretch matters
Land near a dedicated freight corridor isn’t just land — it comes with a logistics advantage baked in. If your business depends on moving raw materials in or finished goods out efficiently, being within the DMIC catchment can cut transport time and cost compared to a location further from the freight line. The UP stretch is projected to draw around Rs 27,400 crore in investment and generate roughly 1.2 million jobs, which gives you a sense of the scale of activity planned here — not a guarantee for any individual project, but a signal of where infrastructure and government attention are headed.
The key projects to know
A few specific developments anchor the UP portion of DMIC:
- Boraki Integrated Transport Hub — planned as a multi-modal transport node connecting road, rail, and other transit.
- Dadri-Noida-Ghaziabad Investment Region — an NCR-adjacent zone positioned as a logistics and industrial region (we cover this one in more detail in a separate post).
- Integrated Industrial Township, Greater Noida — a planned township combining industrial land with supporting infrastructure.
- Integrated Multi-Modal Logistics Hub, Greater Noida (near Dadri) — aimed squarely at warehousing, freight consolidation, and distribution businesses.
Each of these serves a slightly different purpose, so the right one for you depends on whether you need manufacturing floor space, warehousing, or a mix of both.
What this means if you’re evaluating a location
If your business is in manufacturing, logistics, or export-oriented production and NCR proximity matters to you, the UP-DMIC districts are worth a serious look. But “part of DMIC” doesn’t automatically mean land is available today at the specific project you’re interested in — allotment status, plot sizes, and pricing vary by node and change as development progresses.
Getting the current picture
DMIC-linked land in UP moves through multiple authorities and development bodies, and figuring out which one governs the plot you’re interested in — and what’s actually available right now — takes some digging. That’s exactly the kind of groundwork we do for clients before they commit to a site.
